Silas Reynolds Barton (1872–1916) was a Nebraska republican politician.
Born in New London, Iowa on May 21, 1872. He moved with his parents to Hamilton County, Nebraska in 1873. Graduated from Aurora High School and attended Peru State normal school. He became a farmer and taught school.
He became the deputy treasurer of Hamilton County in 1898 until 1901. In 1901 he became the grand recorder of the Ancient Order of United Workmen until 1908. He was precedent for two terms of the Grand Recorders’ Association of the United States. He became a state auditor in 1909 until his election. During his two terms as auditor he was an insurance commissioner and a of the National Executive Committee of Insurance Commissioners.
He was elected in 1913 to the Sixty-third Congress (March 4, 1913-March 3, 1915). He ran for the Sixty Fifth, but died before the election in Grand Island, Nebraska, on November 7, 1916. He is buried in Aurora Cemetery, Aurora, Nebraska.
